Performance Tip

Are you having fun in life? Do you laugh every day? Do you spend your time doing things that light you up and are full of fun and ease? If not, perhaps it’s time for a serious check in. Life is meant to be fun. Simple. Easy.

There are numerous medical studies supporting the value of having fun and laughing to support our immune system and maintain good health. We feel great when we have fun. We are healthier when we are having fun. We learn more when we have fun.

Children know how to have fun. They spend their days playing and laughing and creating and …having fun. And guess what? They learn! Lots of information. Certain children learn more in their formative years, than some adults learn in their entire lives!

So when was it exactly that someone decided it wasn’t ‘professional’ to have fun in the workplace? When did we separate work and play? Perhaps it’s time to readdress this concept and if it’s not working, file it in the ‘round’ file. You know the one that sits under your desk.

How can you bring more fun to your workplace? Why not share a joke,

(a politically correct one of course!), tell a funny story, or just take the time to laugh at something that is truly funny. It is actually possible to have fun without it being at someone else’s expense. It’s possible to laugh without it wasting time.

And it’s totally possible now that taking the time to laugh and have fun will actually increase turnover, improve productivity and bring a joyful, happy energy

to your workplace or living space.

Giggle on!

Have a happy week!
